Blaine Community Garden
Goal: To provide low cost garden plots to the residents of Blaine who want to grow fresh, safe, organically grown produce for themselves and their families; or for donation to the Blaine Food Bank.
About: This community garden is composed of a diverse group of individuals who share ideas, help each other, and work cooperatively to make the garden successful. The garden uses organic gardening methods and utilizes support and advice from Whatcom County Master Gardeners and local veteran gardeners. No gardening experience necessary to participate.
Plot Sizes: Plot sizes are approximately 10' x 19', with smaller raised beds also available. Plots are awarded on a first come first serve basis for new gardeners.
Reservation Requests:
Existing gardeners may reserve their current plot for the following year if confirmed with the garden coordinator by February 15th. Plot assignment will be determined by March 15th and if plots remain after April 15 requests for second plots will be processed. To request a garden plot please submit a Reservation Request to the Planning Department here at City Hall on the 3rd floor.
Fees:
- 10' x 19' in ground plots = $15
