[ARCHIVED] CITY OF BLAINE - WEST BLAINE WASTEWATER CONVEYANCE PROJECT

Notice is hereby given that sealed bid proposals will be received by the City of Blaine at Blaine Public Works, 1200 Yew Avenue, Blaine, Washington, 98230, (360) 332-8820, until 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2011, and will then and there be opened and publicly read for West Blaine Wastewater Conveyance. This project includes approximately 4,900 feet of 8-inch to 24-inch pipelines at the existing West Blaine Wastewater Treatment Plant, at the end of Semiahmoo Spit, across Drayton Harbor, and along Marine Drive. Other major items of work will include structural, mechanical, and electrical facilities for a wastewater Lift Station and recycled water Pump Station, followed by the demolition and restoration of the remaining West Blaine Wastewater Treatment Plant. The cost estimate range for this project is between $1.5 and $2.0 million.

All questions regarding this solicitation shall be directed to the design engineer, Mark Hopkinson, PE, with Tetra Tech at 206-883-9354, fax 206-883-9301 or mark.hopkinson@tetratech.com.
Bids shall must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to the City of Blaine in an amount of 5% of Bidder’s maximum Bid price and in the form of a cashier’s check, postal money order or a Bid bond. No bid shall be considered unless accompanied by such bid bond.

Bidders, prior to submittal of a bid, are encouraged to attend a pre-bid conference with the Project Engineer. The meeting will start at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday June 1, 2011, in the meeting room at Blaine Public Works Department, 1200 Yew Avenue, Blaine, Washington 98230.
