Our uniformed officers are the backbone of Blaine's Public Safety Department.

From patrol to crime prevention to investigation, the Police Operations Division performs a variety of duties to protect and improve the peace and well-being enjoyed by our residents and visitors.  Full-time and volunteer members of our team work to proactively prevent crime through education and neighborhood problem solving, enforce local and state laws and support the federal agencies working in our community.

Community safety begins with the aggressive pursuit of criminal activity, and with the equally aggressive protection of individual rights to peace, privacy and freedom. We seek to prevent and deter crime whereever possible  We stand ready to pursue individuals who present a threat to people, property and community order as defined in state law and city ordinance.
