Blaine Department of Public Safety is committed to preventing the abuse and exploitation of our residents and visitors.  While aggressively prosecuting violators, our first concern is to protect the victim. Exploitation takes many forms; abuse of vulnerable citizens, domestic violence, identity theft and drug crime are among the most prevalent.

We have strengthened the training of our department members in these areas in order to better serve victims and families and help ensure successful prosecutions. The Department has two fully trained sexual assault/child abuse investigators, and a detective responsible for investigating complaints of exploitation.
